Description

This 3-day art camp will be customized based on the interests of the enrolled students. Students will create custom artwork with personalized instruction. A wide assortment of mediums and techniques will be used. Past projects have included mediums such as: acrylic, watercolor, canvas, ceramic tile, wire, wood, air dry clay, alcohol inks, watercolor pencil, colored pencil, graphite pencils, charcoal, and oil pastel. The final day of camp also features an artist spotlight where students get to share favorite works of art they’ve created.

Each day of camp will include instruction about the elements and principles of design, inspecting examples of art, and experimenting with multiple hands-on projects. Each session will be a mix of group instruction, guided exploration, and projects for individual exploration. Each session features unique projects. Actual camp projects will vary depending on availability of supplies and student interests.

Class Minimum: 4 students.

This event will be hosted outdoors in my shaded backyard, but will be moved indoors if weather necessitates. Located in the Paramount subdivision in Meridian, Idaho (near Chinden and Meridian Road). Physical address for the camp will be provided after registration.

A couple snack options and a water bottle will be provided for each student each day of camp. While the snacks will be nut-free, I cannot accommodate all food allergies or special dietary restrictions at this time.

Students should wear clothing and shoes that are both weather-appropriate and comfortable. Clothing and shoes may be stained or ruined during creative processes, so please plan accordingly. Art is more fun when students don’t have to stress about keeping their attire spot-free. Latex-free disposable gloves are provided for most projects. Having hair tied/pulled back away from the face is recommended. A safe area is provided for phones/watches, and other personal items that need to stay clean.

Boss Art strives to create exciting new projects each year. As a result of minimizing repeated projects, photos of art on this website may be depictions of previous projects, and may not accurately represent the details of current or planned art projects. Photos are meant to give an idea of what projects may entail, often depicting examples of past art projects using similar mediums or processes.
